pros 👍

• free open source project
• minimalist and lightweight
• bypasses add blockers (via this hack and using /stats.js instead of /umami.js)
• easy to setup
• can host many websites
• easy to share data via dashboard → example for Bankless Academy
• can track events → for example, when a user clicks somewhere
• data ownership (not exploited by a third party)

cons 👎

• event data are limited to 50 characters. I tried to replace this into a json object, but then the project wasn't working anymore.
• Scaling issues: reaching DB connection limits.
