- IntraDAO Client Services?
- When people want us to write stuff for them, we should treat that as CS work and ask them to cover the BANK to pay writers and editors
- Proposal writing for other guilds?
- Should other guilds or projects cover the BANK or should we cover it from our multi-sig
- They should cover it and treat it like CS work
- Revamping the writers test: how best to approach onboarding new writers
- initial discussions are to have a different styled tests related to a specific style of writing and crypto focused
- ap0ll0 is concerned it will exclude new members who are just joining to learn and don’t have much crypto knowledge
- hiro and Jake and Stake believes it will allow us to be more selective and onboard people who are better qualified to write for the WG
- pupils have to pass the writing or editing test to become scribbler and then they can accept paid work. pupils can’t accept paid work
- nonsense reminded that pupils can still submit to the EPA for publishing and has the potential to earn
- links proposed that the writing test is a person first submission through the EPA. If a writer is good enough to get published then they can earn scribbler status
- hiro doesn’t believe the EPA has the bandwidth to administer that many writing tests
- ap0ll0 also said that if writers EPA submission is used as writers test, it wouldn’t filter talent in to categories we’re looking to filter into such as technical writer vs opinion piece
- Frank explained that during S2 there were a few writers who returned some assignments. Maybe they didn’t have the capacity or commitment to the project, but he feels this is necessary to assign writers best suited for clients’ ask
- nonsense feels that we should require new writers to write about crypto, even if they have no knowledge. It will give them an opportunity to do research and learn and will inform us if they’re capable of doing research
- Discuss DAO articles on Medium/Mirror for State of DAOs content
- there are some articles in EPA pipeline which siddhearta believes would be great content for State of DAOs
- Examples include “DAO First or DAO Later,” “DAOs Need HR Dept,” etc
- ap0ll0 asked for articles previously used in EPA and also used in State of DAOs, will newsletter also remunerate the author again?
- Sid explained that the article would be summarized in a TLDR format and the person who creates the TLDR would receive remuneration from Newsletter. The author wouldn’t get remunerated again for article.
- nonsense proposed to revisit this in S3
