How to Receive Feedback 🤲

1. Be Receptive.

• It’s not personal — the feedback provider is giving feedback on your writing not you
• The feedback provider is attempting to help. Be open to their suggestions.

2. Seek Change.

• The feedback provider will be giving you specific recommendations
• Attempt to understand their perspective and be open to making specific changes that you might have not considered yourself

3. Engage in a Discussion.

• Attempt to better understand your feedback provider’s perspective through discussion
• Receiving feedback is not a 1-sided activity — ask your feedback provider for more!
