The Marketing guild asks for 720k BANK for season 5. This is a lower ask compared to the previous season (-9%) even though we introduce a new micro-role (Content Manager) and a slight increase in micro-role holder payment. This is possible with the expected $BANK leftover from season 4.
In the season 4 budget proposal we set clear goals for the marketing guild that should help us to drive the mission forward and support the bDAO overall. Let’s review:
The Marketing Guild overall succeeded with our goal to increase the reach and visibility of Bankless DAO projects and educational web3 content. We saw growth across all channels but we weren’t able to reach all our ambitious social growth goals thanks to the bloody bear market… With a newly implemented “factory line” (Dework task board), we were able to scale up production. We also supported projects like BED Index, Notion Ninja, ETH Global Events, and others. However, we struggled with finding external clients to boost our revenue. Even though we are in talks with multiple leads (Argent, Zignaly, OpenBlox, Human DAO), we could not yet secure an agreement.
In Season 5 the Marketing Guild will continue to grow our organic social media reach on various channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Telegram, TikTok, LinkedIn, GM, etc.) via the micro-role holders that will be appointed for each channel. We plan to review the strategies of each channel to align the content produced with the channel it will be shared on. Our Social Media Coordinator will continue to make sure that content ideas will be collected and bounties for assets being created.
The main challenge for season 5 will be to elect a highly talented campaign coordinator that is able to onboard new projects (internal and external) and create campaign packages for them. Given the current market structure, we don’t expect a massive amount of external projects which gives us time to focus on promoting Bankless Projects and developing pricing packages for future clients.
In addition to the existing roles we will be introducing a new micro-role called “Content Manager” who will be researching trending/important web3 content and help the micro-role holders to coordinate the timing of their content distribution. The Content Manager also makes sure that the post requested by the campaign leads are posted and helps to create design and marketer bounties on DeWork.
In order to improve the quality of our work, we are currently in the build-up of a new campaign governance structure that requires a certain amount of guild reputation signals to contribute to complex campaigns. Our goal is to deploy the most suited talent to the project in need. Our value comes from our quality of knowledge. We need to make sure this gets rewarded
