This Proposal Framework will serve to guide the members of the Research Guild (hereafter the Guild) through the process of turning ideas into Guild Action Items!
We are not here to give permission, but to assist in building consensus.
Ideal Steps towards Creating a Proposal:
- Share an idea in #š„¼research-general to get some quick feedback
- Do a quick Emoji or @SeshBot poll to get a sense of what people think
Create Space
- Establish a workgroup focused on a topic or a problem
- Create thread for the Interest Group thread in General Chatter or Workgroups
Proposal Draft
- Use this Google Docs template Proposal template or others, when drafting a new proposal. (to do- update this section with template options)
- Signal in #š„¼rg-general-chatter that youāre working on it so that co-authors can signal interest in collaborating (i.e. work in the open)
- Propose the Guild approve a Bounty Spend
Discussion/Revision & Build Consensus
- Receive comments in #š„¼research-general, Google Docs
- Coordinate feedback/advice calls where needed
- Redraft the Google Doc and communicate in #š„¼research-general when changes happen
- Option: Use a Temp Check poll to see if itās ready for voting if unsure
Voting (Consensus Check)
- Make a forum poll on Discourse: https://bankless.community if wider dao feedback is needed.
- Proposal updated to status āVotingā with link to the poll - you can update this in the projects database, or in your contributor research page for reference.
