Context

The governance meeting was initially created in S4 (5?) to provide an hour in a week to a workgroup interested in drafting, creating and revising a comprehensive governance framework for our project. Due to the bear market conditions and the decrease of activity in the project all together, the participation in the governance meeting also decreased, resulting in S6 for the governance meeting turning into a form of office hours for the Ops Lead to hang out and eventually get some company, resulting in a mild waste of purpose for that hour.

Problem

The governance meeting is not serving its original purpose anymore. The time in that hour could be used more proactively in favour of the project.

Proposed solution

Turn the governance meeting into a either office hours with the Ops Lead or Members’ Point of Contact where different contributors can stop by, ask questions and clarifications about the project, provide feedback or discuss grievances and learn how they can contribute or propose or learn how make project wide governance proposals themselves. Or, if they are bored, hang out with the Ops Lead who is a cool person!

I also propose to change the meeting time and (maybe) day for this meeting, because the it coincides with the many governance meetings on Monday and some members might be torn between having to pick where to dedicate their time, Ops Lead included. If the community agrees, a LettuceMeet shall be prepared.
