Context

The IMN project, at the time when this proposal is written, consists of 16 active nodes. Season 6 has seen an increase in the attempts of improving the communication between the nodes and improve our node related marketing approaches all together. While nodes varies in terms of several important factors such as: audience reach, number of contributors and nature of the content distributed, there appears to be some degree of consensus that a more experimental approach is needed from most of the nodes.

Problem

Nodes want to engage with each other more and learn from each other. However, there is no clear dedicated time for such an approach.

Solution

Create a weekly sharing session which would highlight one node and their activity. The sharing session will be hosted each week by a different node and will aim to present the roadmap, trials and errors and approaches of that node in their mission of increasing their audience and becoming independent. The sharing session should be open to any IMN contributor interested in learning about the way other nodes are operating. The nodes of the week will be expected to prepare a presentation, it can follow any format as long as it is comprehensive and it will be easy to share with people who could not attend it. The presentation is at the will of the presenters but should include elements such as roadmap, content creation, audience engagement and tried strategies and their results. The sharing sessions should last around an hour including presentation and Q&A. There should be 1 or 2 presenters. The nodes with higher growth should have priority on the presenting list. The time and day of the week should be set at the will at the node scheduled to present that week, however it is advised to take into consideration the availability of the of the contributors interested in that sharing session.

Financial implications

The work done to prepare the presentation should be financially rewarded. The amount of work put into the presentation should be 1 hour presenting and answering questions, 2 hours preparations. This should result in a total of 3 hours put into the sharing session and at a rate of 1000BANK/ hour, it should result on a compensation of 3000 BANK/sharing session, regardless of the number of presenters. At an assumed number of 1 sharing session per week. We should have around 12 sharing session per seasons, resulting in 36000 BANK/season.

Alternatively, if the interest in the initiative is low, we can host sharing sessions from 2 to 2 weeks. This would result on a budget of 18000 BANK/season.
