  - dennison bertram was a cab driver in Hellboy, partier #2 in Chasing Liberty, and a voice actor in the videogame 'fairy tale about father frost, ivan and nastya'. also a few other tv commercials and movies not listed.
- Describe their crypto journey thus far. i.e. graduated from college in 2016, got their first bitcoin as a graduation gift, fell down the rabbithole of Ethereum, launched a DeFi protocol in 2020.

  - one of Dennisons first startups in 2012 was a BTC exchange in Czech republic.

- The general positioning of the project is governance.
What is the value proposition of the project? How does it clearly differentiate itself from others in the web3 space?
- Tally is a simple to use voting and governance interface for daos or crypto protocols. it is a voting interface that is compatible with openzepplins governor, governor bravo and governor alpha contracts (as of 10/14/21).
- Differentiator: super clean interface that is easy to use and aggregates governance participation of multiple DAOs.
- recently integrated the ability to view voters poaps.
How does it benefit it community members and general web3 communities at large?
- Tally helps to bring governance to the community. it allows for people and their communities to participate in governance decisions without requiring an advanced technological background.
- Tally also allows users to better investigate other community participants through their interface.
Is it bridging blockchains, protocols, tools, communities, etc.?
- Tally helps to bridge all of these things together in an easy to use governance participation and exploration interface.
- Solidity developers utilizing any of the currently supported governor smart contracts can apply to be added to Tally. this includes openzepplins governor, governor bravo, and governor alpha.
Does it bring a unique vision or approach to solve challenges in web3?
- Tallys unique product helps to visualize the community participation in their governance through the use of charts and graphs. this helps to visually represent and give a better understanding of the weight of different participants votes.
- Tallys graphs can also help to provide insight into their voters through the platform. you can check to see if the participants are more of a trendsetter by through the tally platform by check if they voted before the consensus level required to active said is met. or if a participant only votes after the consensus levels are met they might be more of a follower.

- Provides an excellent onboarding experience for new members of the web3 ecosystem to get involved in governance.
- The ability to link social media credentials to profiles allows users to get a better feel of how their community is voting instead of it feeling like a bunch of random voters.

  - it allows for the separation of power in creation, executing, and canceling proposals across multiple users or multisig signers.
  - allows for composability of authority in governance
  - almost like the checks and balances of power in dao voting power

  - tally allows for governance the ability to remove inactive or malicious multisig signers,
  - it allows you to separate the people who are allowed to create proposals with those that might be delegated extra power as security auditors who may cancel the proposals.
  - tally can allow for token holders to delegate their voting power to other individual members or a group of multisig signers of their dao.
  - tally also allows for users to vote on decisions directly themselves.
  - tally has multiple governance framework templates available for daos to use or request to be tailored for their dao

About the ecosystem

Find one or two things the speaker has shared in the past about the future growth, impact of web3?
- The future is unknown and therefore we need to leave optionality in order to adapt to what the future may or may not be.
- we are currently in the Magic Internet Organizations phase, while the future holds a Magic Internet Society.
- 'we are unlocking the power of individuals to care about other individuals, and that is a real core to the whole DAO concept' ; being able to rewards others directly in a way that allows them to provide for themselves.
