The Grants Committee is governed by the BanklessDAO Constitution.
**From the latest spec: “**The Committee has a quorum with five members, but is otherwise responsible for their own operations. The Committee cannot change the application process to be a Committee member without a snapshot vote...”
- Quorum: All Committee votes must have 5 members present to pass motions and proposals
- Members can abstain from voting and still be counted towards quorum
- Voting: All Grants Committee votes are simple majority.
- Async Voting: If a vote is taken asynchronously, the vote is taken similarly to a vote in person, with the addition that any member can flag for a vote to be done in person. If flagged, that over-rules the async vote, and requires a vote in person with discussion.
- Async Voting Procedure, voted by Grants in S4
- Documentation: All Committee votes must be recorded in written form on Notion
- The record should indicate what exactly what voted for, and which members voted FOR, AGAINST, and ABSTAIN
- In the case of forum proposals, the proposal should be linked beside the vote record
- Transparency: All Committee votes are open (i.e. not anonymous)
- Consensus: The Committee will only consider proposals that have met forum quorum requirements (based on this Snapshot vote, adjusted seasonally as per this (Committee vote):
