- Ranked choice
- If first choice is eliminated then your second vote becomes the first

- DAO has bad UX bot that we can use if necessary
- We are going to implement ranked choice

- The Election and Removal of Members to and from Office
- Use the same flow as the multisig elections

- Hold off on this until end of Season 2
- Set quorom/threshold for scribes
- Time period for dispute + election
- What does campaigning look like?
- Reapply during open submission period
- Mandatory candidate statement
- Apprentice roles for elected roles?
- Good idea!
- Should some of these positions be a board, rather than a single person?
- Add new person to office each season
- Add the apprentice role for all governance roles
- How do0 we keep some of the work decentralized as we grow?
- Very important question
- How do we compensate for these sort of decentralized tasks?
- Salary for scribe, but salary depends on reviewing tests
- UBI for scribes
- This brings up the necessity of detailing the duties of scribes
- Does the apprentice then be the record keeper?
- What if the roles become too big for one person?
- All role holders in the guild: please write down all of your responsibilities
- End of season, have governance meeting to see if it makes sense to expand the roles or have apprentices for the guild offices
- Newsletter governance
- Mirror vs medium
- Bounties
- Blue sky: Moving governance on chain
- subDAO
- Orca Protocol may be the way to go
Notes
Review:
- Membership tiers
- Three tiers of WG members
- Pupil
- Lurker, checking it all out
- Join calls, see what's happening in guild
- Restrictions on participating in governance or raising their hands for jobs
- How to become an apprentice?
- Apprentice
- Seems willing to work, but have not sufficiently shipped to establish a rep in the guild
- To become a scribe:
- Finish editing or writing test (or submit sufficient example)
- Complete three writing or editing assignments
- Scribe
- Eligible for governance roles or multisig and participate in client services
- Need to participate in three assignments within span of season
- Elections
- For multisig
- On-cycle election: have a poll at end of season to see if we want to roll the same multisigs over to next season
- 100% to move forward
- No vote triggers election process
- Four days for applications
- Three day voting period
- Governance coordinator can relay private no votes
- Off-cycle election: voluntary or involuntary removal mid season
- Voluntary:
- Same election process
- Give one week buffer before vote
- Involuntary
- If member (scribe?) thinks a multisig is not acting in best interests of guild, ombuds office gets brought in. governance coordinator is liason
- Affected parties mediate with ombuds
- Ombuds finding goes to guild and triggers election process, if appropriate
- A multisig candidate must be nominated by a third party
- Election would be for that one multisig position only
